Muskerry Rugby Club was formed on 30th of March
1978, following a meeting held at Healy’s
Bar, Cloghroe (now named Blair's Inn).
The main driving
force behind the formation of the club was Pat
O'Sullivan.
He was Muskerry’s first secretary,
and the following were elected on the committee
after this first meeting:

The first game that Muskerry played was against Highfield RFC on 16th of April
1978 and Muskerry won 19-4.

Bought 8 acres
from our patron Bill Ellis. |

Received lottery
funding to develop playing pitches. |

Elevated to Junior
Status- Nick Jones scores a try! |
| 1999 |
Ellis Park officially
opened. |
| 2000 |
Former Muskerry
Youth players, Conrad O'Sullivan and Pat
McCarthy, play pivotal roles in Ireland’s
under 19 Triple Crown success. |

Third XV formed. |
| 2001 |
D J O'Leary
becomes second Muskerry Player to receive
Munster Cap. |
| 2001 |
First XV promoted
to Second division of the Junior League. |
| 2002 |
Club raised €100,000
in huge fundraising effort. |
| 2003 |
Received a lottery
grant of €160,000, which was the second
highest in Cork. |
| 2003 |
Donal Twomey,
Kieran Horgan, Ed Crowley played for Munster
Youth Team and the Irish Youth Squad. |
